Cristiano Ronaldo’s social-media statement about his Portugal camp situation had attracted more than 19 million likes, but no public likes from Portugal teammates, according to an O Jogo report carried by the source. The report said Ronaldo used Instagram to set out his account of events during the camp. It also said teammates had previously been instructed not to discuss the matter publicly. The article did not establish why individual players had not engaged with the post, and it did not report a new response from the Portuguese Football Federation. The focus was the visible response to Ronaldo’s statement rather than a confirmed change in team policy. Ronaldo’s situation with Portugal’s coach remained the background to the report.
